Pizza Express Menu Prices UK [2026 UPDATED]

Looking for the latest Pizza Express menu prices in the UK? You’re in the right place. I’ve checked the current menu for this year, with prices ranging from £1.00 for dips to £39.95 for the Large Classic Celebration Bundle for 3–4 people.

I’ve always found the hardest Pizza Express decision comes after that first smell of warm dough and rich passata hits the table: stick with the classic base or pay a little more for a crisp, thinner Romana? This guide covers pizzas, sides, desserts, drinks, bundles and more, so you can see what your meal will cost before you order.

I manually verified the prices across the official Pizza Express site and multiple UK branches. Exact prices can vary slightly by location, so I’ve kept that in mind while putting together this updated Pizza Express menu and price guide.

Must-Try Dishes, Honest Review & Value Breakdown

Start With the Dough Balls. Obviously.

The Dough Balls arrive blistering hot, and the best bit is the slightly ridiculous ritual that follows. Puncture one, push in that cold garlic butter and watch it melt into the steaming crumb; five minutes later, your fingers are greasy and someone has somehow smeared butter around the base of their water glass.

That’s PizzaExpress at its best. Simple food, eaten messily, with everyone reaching across the table.

The Bruschetta Con Funghi deserves a mention too. Earthy mushrooms meet sharp, acidic balsamic, and that contrast stops the bread from tasting like a bland filler starter.

Then There’s the Marble-Table Problem

The classic PizzaExpress marble table looks charming until the food arrives. Pizza stands, plates, glasses and cutlery quickly occupy every available inch, and I’ve genuinely found myself balancing a Peroni on the edge while trying not to knock someone’s drink over.

It’s part of the experience. Just don’t pretend the tables were designed for a three-course meal.

Classic or Romana? Know Your Appetite

The Classic base is flatter and chewier, with enough substance to make the pizza feel like a proper meal. It’s the safer choice when you don’t fancy finishing dinner still hungry.

The Romana is another beast entirely: massive, paper-thin and properly charred around the edges. I love the texture, but don’t confuse a huge-looking pizza with a filling one; the thin base can leave a hungry adult eyeing the dessert menu.

And here’s the unofficial PizzaExpress trick. Save the leftover Dough Ball garlic butter and drag the dry pizza crust through it at the end. It’s gloriously scruffy, completely unnecessary and somehow the best use of the last bit of crust.

The Toppings Need a Reality Check

This is where my enthusiasm drops.

I’ve seen the toppings shrink, and paying £24+ for an American Hot only to find a sparse scattering of pepperoni is infuriating. The crust can be beautifully blistered and the passata can still have that bright tomato tang, but you notice the missing toppings when you’ve paid restaurant prices.

The Calabrese is my high-heat pick when I want spice without drowning the pizza in meat. The American Hot brings the familiar pepperoni-and-chilli hit, but the portion of topping matters more when the price climbs.

The Chocolate Glory Is a Skip

I’m not ordering Chocolate Glory again unless someone talks me into it.

The problem isn’t the idea. It’s the execution I’ve encountered: dry, fridge-stale brownie crumbs frozen into the ice cream, with none of the soft, fudgy texture you’d expect from a chocolate dessert.

The Lemon Torte makes more sense. So does a warm Sticky Toffee Pudding when it’s available. Both give you something with actual texture instead of cold brownie grit.

The Cardinal Sin: Paying Rack Rate

I’ll be blunt: don’t pay full menu price if you’ve got another option.

Drinks and sides are where the bill quietly gets silly. You start with a reasonably priced pizza, add a starter, a dip, a drink and something extra, and suddenly you’ve spent far more than the meal felt worth.

The PizzaExpress Club App is part of the calculation now. Tesco Clubcard vouchers are another saving grace, and I’d check both before sitting down rather than discovering a deal exists after you’ve already paid.

Anyone paying rack rate without checking the available perks is doing the hard work for no reason.

My Picks From the Menu

Best Budget Order — One Pizza + Dough Balls to Share

Keep it tight. Share the Dough Balls, order a pizza each and skip the expensive extras unless you’ve got a specific craving.

Use Club App perks or Tesco Clubcard vouchers and the maths gets much friendlier.

Best High-Heat Pizza — Calabrese

Calabrese gets my vote for the spicy order. It’s got enough heat to wake up the palate without turning every bite into a chilli endurance test.

The American Hot works too, but the topping shrinkage annoys me more on that one.

Best Vegetarian — Padana

Padana is the vegetarian pizza I’d actually order for myself. Creamy goat’s cheese cuts through the sweetness of the baby onions, while spinach and garlic oil keep each bite savoury rather than sugary.

Get the Romana base if you’re chasing that crisp, charred edge.

Best Healthy Order — Leggera or Buddha Bowl

The Leggera range and Buddha Bowls under 600 calories are the sensible choices when you’re trying to keep the meal lighter.

No faff required. Check the listed calories, choose what fits your appetite and move on.

Ultimate Combo — Dough Balls + Padana + Dip

This is the order I’d build when I want the full PizzaExpress experience without ordering half the menu.

Start with Dough Balls, go for Padana on Romana, then get a dip for the crusts. You’ve got hot, buttery dough, creamy goat’s cheese, sweet onions, charred crust and something sharp to drag through it all.

My Undisputed Pick — Padana on Romana

This is the pizza I keep coming back to.

The Romana gives you that enormous, paper-thin base with charred bubbles around the rim, while the Padana piles on sweet baby onions, creamy goat’s cheese, spinach and garlic oil. Every bite moves between crisp crust, soft cheese, sweet onion and that savoury garlic finish.

It’s also the pizza that makes the Dough Ball butter trick worthwhile. Leave a few crusts behind, drag them through the garlic butter and finish the meal standing there with greasy fingers.

That’s the bit I remember. Not the table setting or the marketing. The hot crust, the garlic butter and the slightly chaotic last few bites.

One Last Thing About Saturdays

Don’t mistake Pizza Express for a quiet date-night restaurant at 3pm on a Saturday.

I’ve been in branches where children’s birthday parties turn the room into an echo chamber of shrieks, clattering plates and chairs scraping across the floor. For a relaxed meal, I’d pick a quieter midweek slot and save the Saturday afternoon madness for someone else.

Pizza Express Prices, Discounts & Bill FAQs

How much does an average meal at PizzaExpress cost per person?

Expect to spend £25–£35 per person for a pizza, a starter or side to share, and a drink at full price. The pizza is only part of the bill; add a couple of drinks, sides and extras and the total climbs surprisingly quickly.

What is the cheapest way to eat at PizzaExpress?

The £10.00 Power Lunch is one of the easiest ways to keep your bill down, while Dough Balls at £7.25 can work well split between two people. For a bigger meal, the Night in Bundle at £21.75 can beat ordering each item separately at rack rate.

Is the Romana crust worth the extra cost over the Classic base?

Romana is bigger, crispier and paper-thin, while Classic is softer, chewier and more filling. I’d pick Romana if you want that big, crisp edge and lighter bite; heavy eaters will usually get more satisfaction from the denser Classic base.

Does PizzaExpress charge extra for gluten-free pizza bases?

Gluten-Free pizzas have their own pricing, with a GF Margherita listed at £16.45. PizzaExpress also has Coeliac UK accreditation, which gives coeliac diners extra reassurance around its gluten-free preparation and cross-contamination controls.

How much is the Piccolo kids’ meal, and is it good value?

The Piccolo meal deal costs £8.50 and covers three courses: a starter, main and dessert. That’s useful for families because you’re paying one predictable price rather than watching several children’s extras push the final bill higher.

Can you combine Tesco Clubcard vouchers with PizzaExpress Club App rewards?

Don’t count on stacking them in the same transaction. Promotional vouchers, Tesco Clubcard codes and PizzaExpress Club rewards generally have their own redemption rules, so check the terms and use whichever single discount gives you the biggest saving rather than creating a faff at the till.

Are the PizzaExpress bundle deals actually cheaper than buying separately?

The £39.95 Large Classic Celebration Bundle can save a meaningful amount for 3–4 people compared with ordering two £24+ pizzas plus sides and extras separately. Do the quick maths before ordering; bundles make the most sense when you’ll actually eat everything included rather than paying for items you don’t need.

Are taxes and service charges included in the menu price?

The advertised UK menu prices include 20% VAT, so you don’t get a surprise tax calculation added afterwards. The bill can still be higher at dine-in branches because a discretionary service charge of around 10%–12.5% may be added, particularly in London, so check the bottom of the bill before paying.

Before You Book

You’ve now got the full PizzaExpress price picture, from £1.00 dips and the £10.00 Power Lunch through to the £39.95 Large Classic Celebration Bundle for 3–4 people. The difference between a sensible bill and an inflated one often comes down to drinks, sides and whether you use the available deals.

These prices are highly accurate, but a little variation can happen between branches. A Central London restaurant may charge slightly differently from a quieter suburban branch, so treat the figures as a reliable guide rather than a guarantee down to the last penny.

I manually monitor this page and update the prices from time to time, so you can check it before heading out and have a realistic idea of what you’ll spend.

And don’t leave without trying the Padana on a crisp Romana base. Add a portion of those iconic Dough Balls to share and you’ve got my order sorted.

Now I’m curious: what’s your go-to PizzaExpress order, and do you actually use the app before you leave the house?
